Anger is a normal healthy emotion but it’s important to deal with it in a positive way. When anger is expressed safely and assertively it can help you to feel strong and motivate you to move forwards and get what you want.
The expression of anger, if justifiable and aimed at finding a solution rather than just venting, can actually benefit and strengthen relationships.
However, if anger is having a long-term negative impact on your relationships, making you unhappy, or resulting in any dangerous or violent behaviour, then you probably need to seek help.
First you need to recognise that you (or someone else) is angry and then take appropriate action to deal with it.
Take time out and use relaxation techniques to calm your self and release the adrenalin.
Once you have both calmed down from your anger and then you can begin to express yourself in a calm and collected way.
