A friendly Meditation Group promoting self-healing and relaxation.

Facilitated by Bev Darke experienced Counsellor and Advanced Hypnotherapist.

 

Before training as a Relate Counsellor, in Norwich, I began practising Transcendental Meditation and from then on daily meditation became a fundamental way of caring for my own well-being.  It not only helped me to relax, but also brought me healing, peace of mind and provided a new focus and perspective.

Meditation is merely a state of being in which your active mind slows down.  As you learn to relax mind and body, you find that you can reach beneath the constant chatter of the conscious mind.  If you meditate regularly, you will begin to feel much calmer, more positive and less reactive in stressful situations.  As you become more self aware you are able to reflect and maintain focus and balance in your life.

It doesn’t have to involve sitting cross legged and chanting!  You might prefer to walk in nature, listen to music, just sit quietly, or get dancing!  Meditation is simply taking time out and stepping back from the every day stresses and strains that can sometimes feel overwhelming for us all.  The sense of calmness that results from meditating can also have a positive affect on your health (lowering blood pressure and bringing pain relief) and also increase your physical energy.

In our Norwich group,  we explore different ways to meditate using guided imagery, inner journeying, sounds and music.

 

Take some time out to meditate and ‘step into the stillness’.
