Poppy Day – a time to remember – Grief counselling for individuals, young people and couples|Norwich counsellor

Norwich Counsellor | Bereavement support for individuals and young people –

Norwich counsellor Poppy Day Remembrance Day can trigger painful feelings of loss for many of us. Grief and bereavement counselling can provide us with comfort and perspective at this difficult time.  At times, grief can take us to a very dark place and it can feel like it’s never ending.  Our shock, sadness and anguish can be very overwhelming and we all need lots of support as we ride this ‘roller coaster’ of feelings.

Grief counselling helps us to accept that all of these feelings are normal and are an essential part of our recovery  journey.  Above all – they will not last forever.

Loss and bereavement will always be a part of our human experience and there will be times of sorrow in our lives. We cannot change this, but we are resilient and in time, we recover and heal.  As we recover we begin to create a new life, without our loved one, and we regain a sense of peace and equilibrium.

“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.

It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.

We should be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”   (Albert Schweitzer)
